2020 Football Summer Camp - South (Camp 2)
This summer, FC Isle of Man is pleased to be able to offer places at its inaugural summer football camps.
FC Isle of Man is built around the ethos of engagement with and representation of the island's community.
We will be running 5 camps during August and September 2020. These camps will take FC Isle of Man's engagement with young players to the next level as we offer players between 5 and 12 (at the time the camp commences) the opportunity to spend 5 days with fully qualified coaches, focusing on having fun whilst developing their skills in a safe and 'Growth Mindset' geared learning environment.
This Camp will take place at Colby AFC pitch between the 10th August 2020 and the 14th August 2020.
Participants will follow a programme built around the philosophy of helping every individual bring out their best through collaboration and respect, facilitated by high quality coaching. These camps offer boys and girls of all abilities the opportunity to enhance their football skills whilst having fun, a philosophy we hope can translate into everyday life, helping grow better students and better people.
The Camp in detail
Development of grass roots football is essential to any club and FC Isle of Man is working with highly regarded coaching specialists The iCue Academy to deliver a holistic training programme that is designed to encourage young talent to enjoy the game whilst addressing the key Technical/Tactical, Social, Pyschological and Physical development areas. We coach boys and girls together based on their skill level and motivation, rather than dividing them into same sex groups. This builds confidence, creates a mutually beneficial atmosphere, breaks down age and cultural barriers and enhances both performance and enjoyment levels for all.
Students will typically receive around 5 hours of development coaching per day, alongside additional sessions with FC Isle of Man's community partners during the week. The programme has been developed in conjunction with FC Isle of Man Sporting Director and UEFA A Licence Candidate Paul Jones and iCue Academy Director/Head Coach and FA Youth Award holder - Ben Qualtrough. It focuses on a range of skills, drills and match play as well as the basics of building up player confidence and game experience.

Early Bird discount
Those booking early get the best prices, as such an 'Early Bird' rate will be available up to 11:30pm on the 26th July.
This rate is heavily discounted both for first and additional children, and is our way of saying thank you for your early support.
Multiple child discount
We believe that money should never be a barrier to accessing sport and understand that costs for multiple children attending camps can soon add up. We strive for our camps to offer value and want them to be accessible - as such we have put together a significantly discounted 'extra child' option for children from the same household**.
'Extra Time' Sessions (early drop off and late pick up)
Camps will begin at 9am and finish at 3:30pm. In order to assist parents 'Extra Time' options are available as a ticket add-on and will enable the child to join the coaches at 8:30am and be picked up at 4:00pm. Please note - 'On the Day' bookings will not be possible. Children must be booked on these 'Extra Time' sessions in advance as we keep a strict 'coach to child' ratio.
What will my child need to bring?
In short, appropriate kit to take part and food and fluids to keep them fuelled throughout the day*** - remember your child is going to be active all day!
Full day attendees will have two snack breaks in addition to their lunch break and will need to bring food and fluids appropriate for this. Water will be available from the facilities on site throughout the day.
'Extra Time' attendees will need the same as above but may also wish to have their breakfast at camp too, in which case they will need to bring this with them.
Participants must be between 5 years of age and 12 years of age at the time the camp commences.
* When accompanied by a ticket-holding adult.
** This will be available as an 'add on item' and will replicate the original ticket purchased. Up to TWO additional children can attend at the reduced rate from the SAME household.
***Additional instructions will be provided at the time of checkout.
